Urinary symptoms such as frequency, urgency, dribbling, weak stream and nighttime urination can occur with prostate problems, including BPH, but symptoms alone do not establish the cause. Proper evaluation matters, particularly when symptoms are new, persistent or worsening.
When to get medical help
Seek prompt medical care if you cannot urinate. Blood in the urine, fever, severe pain or other concerning symptoms also warrant medical attention.
